PMS-A Measurement in the Collapsing Frame, PMS-F after Collapsing Frame

The PMS-A capacitive measuring sensor measures the extruded film in the collapsing frame of the blown film extrusion line. Fitted to a rail, it is moved automatically from park to measuring position and back again. The sensor is driven by a stepper motor in the housing. Thanks to the rotation of the extrusion line, the oscillating haul-off or the die, each point around the bubble is measured and a complete gauge profile is determined. Low in maintenance and easy to use, the PMS-A helps monitor the film quality and reduces raw material consumption.

The PMS-F capacitive measuring sensor measures the extruded film without contact after the collapsing frame of the blown film extrusion line. With a resolution of 0.1 µm, even minimal thickness fluctuations are captured online and visualised as a thickness profile on the connected computer. The film runs through the fork sensor. With an automatic adjustment unit, the distance between the sensor and film edge is measured with the help of infrared sensors, so that the sensor always follows the film edge. This allows important process data to be captured and presented continuously.
